2020 Quiz Night
Our annual fundraising Quiz Night will be held Saturday 29 August 2020 from 6:30pm
This is the Club's major fundraiser for the year, it is compulsory for all players (unless you have a great reason for being unavailable) and it's also a great night that everyone enjoys. It is held at Wyatt Hall within the Pulteney Grammar School grounds.
Tables
We will have 15 tables of 10 chairs set up on the night. You can buy a set of 10 tickets for your friends and family and form your own team, or just turn up and join another table on the night. Either way it’s good fun!
Drinks
The event is fully licensed with a fully stocked bar! Drinks are inexpensive and all proceeds go back to the club. Cash & card will be available on the night. Please do not bring your own drinks, any alcohol you bring with you will be added to the raffle as a prize!
Food
Please bring your own food and snacks. Many people order pizza in!
Prizes
There is a HUGE raffle on the night and it needs to have some major prizes but also a large number of secondary prizes like bottles of wine. Let your team representative know if there’s anything you can donate from home—or any major prizes you could arrange from work as sponsorship. Everyone should aim to make at least one donation, even if it is just a bottle of wine.
Gold coins
One of the most popular games on the night is the coin toss, where everybody is welcome to participate in throwing, rolling or flipping a gold coin at a bottle of premium liquor. The closest coin at the end wins the bottle. Be ready, this game is very competitive and addictive, so make sure you bring loads of coins!
Event safety
The committee will be working hard to ensure this is a Covid-safe event. Attendees will need to be seated to consume drinks after purchase. A Covid-safe marshall may be on duty on the night to ensure social distancing compliance. Wyatt Hall is approx. 450sqm so there will be less than the allowable 1 person per 2 square meters. Currently in SA such events may have up to 1,000 attendees so we’ll be well below that with our liquor license only allowing for 150 max.
Tickets
Tickets are $20pp online or $25 on the night. Numbers are limited to 150, so buy online and get in fast! Everyone is welcome, bring friends, family, etc. In the event that the Quiz Night in cancelled due to an increase in covid-19 related restrictions, tickets will be refunded.
