Events
The club runs several formal events throughout the course of the season, the biggest of which is our annual Quiz Night. This is a huge event which attracts around 100–150 guests and is a major fundraiser for the club. Other organised events include a pre-season launch, presentation night and end of season day trip.
In addition to this, players often organise more spontaneous events, which usually includes a meet up at club sponsor the Franklin Hotel. These catch ups are sometimes for special occasions, but also often arise for no particular reason at all!
Quiz Night
Saturday 6 July 2024
Save the date! This is the Crab's major fundraiser each year — a night full of prizes, knowledge and football, we usually have anywhere between 100 and 200 guests attending.
It's an important night to get the whole club community together so mark it away now, we expect you to be there!
Held in Wyatt Hall within the grounds of Pulteney Grammar School prepare for the night by creating a table of up to ten friends and be ready to test yourself against the rest of the Crab Community! Players who have paid their club fees are entitled to 2 free tickets: one for them and a second for a partner or friend. (Players wishing to secure their free tickets must submit the form below).
Tickets are available to our broader community for $20pp online or $25 each at the door.
As well as the quiz there'll be:
A cash and card bar, serving, beer, wine, spirits and cocktails—all at relatively inexpensive prices—it’s a great way to warm up for a big night out
Skill testing games (the coin toss is a favourite, so bring along some gold coins)
A massive raffle with plenty of prizes to go around
Everyone is welcome, bring friends, family, etc.
NOTE: Do not bring your own drinks, but feel free to come with snacks to share or order pizza in.
Pizza
We have organised a deal with a local pizza bar to deliver pizzas to the club on the night. Pizza e Mozarella Bar make traditional wood-oven fired pizzas. They have prepared a list of four, 12 inch pizzas we can order. If you'd like to order yourself or others on your table a pizza, please do so before 5pm on Wednesday 3 July 2024. If you do not order before the deadline you may not get your pizza!
Order and pay from the club's square payment site: https://pizza-menu.square.site
Teams
Quiz Night guests usually arrange themselves into teams of up to 10 people—any more than that and your table becomes a bit squeezy.
You can either form a team with your football team-mates, or with friends and family. It’s up to you.
If you don’t have a team, that’s fine, either let us know by email or you can just turn up on the night and join any table which has less than 10 people.
Players’ free tickets
Players wishing to secure their free tickets must submit the form below. You must have paid your club fees in order to access your two free tickets:

Sound like sweet goodness with a dash of fun? Here’s how to join us:
