Crab Quiz Night Success Story

Hi fellow Crabs,

I just wanted to say a big thank you to the whole club for making our quiz night on Saturday 29 July 2023 a huge success. We sold 100 tickets, and raised about $4k net for the club.

Special mentions:

  • Sean, for organising and hosting

  • Anton, for once again selflessly acting as quiz master (and refusing any payment for this massive job)

  • our excellent sponsors and partners for their steadfast support

  • all of the Committee who were involved, like Benno and Will who were behind the bar all night

  • Pulteney, for permitting us the use of Wyatt Hall

  • Everyone who generously donated to the considerable prize pool

  • Will, for his incredibly generous donation of that amazing bottle of scotch

  • the broader Crabs’ community for getting behind the event

The money raised on the night will make a huge difference for the club to:

  • buy quality equipment as and when needed

  • market the club more effectively to ensure good numbers

  • keep us from having to raise player subs

  • properly resource initiatives for the betterment of the club

and I and the Committee are exceedingly grateful for this.
