Team Reveal - CCL 2024–25
After welcoming our first ever Women's player into the Crab Champions League last year, our summer league becomes a truly inclusive, club-wide competition with another 7 players from the Women's team registering to play this summer.
We also have over 80 initial registrations in total, which continues the tradition of breaking the participation number record in each of the 4 years this competition has been running. For such a small club, that's a lot of Crabs!
With such high numbers, we shouldn't have the issue we had last season, when occasionally some teams were very low on player numbers. However we may have a new challenge of having more than 11 players in some games, which will mean we'll occasionally have to play with an interchange bench. So it's going to be important for everyone to remember the competition is not win at all costs, and we should be fair about making sure everyone has roughly equal playing time.
Squads
With such high numbers, we've introduced a new leadership set up, so each of the four teams will have two co-captains.
Co-captains for this season will be:
Blue Crabs : Hannah Thoo & Otis Nading
Orange Crabs : Sophie Horwood & Matteo Laurendi

Details
Kick off times
Kick off every week is 6:30pm. Players are best advised to arrive at least 6:15 pm and do a short warm up to minimise the risk of injury.
If anyone is able to get there 5:45pm onwards to help out, that would be most appreciated. There is always lots of set up:
Assemble goals
Mark out pitches with cones and corner flags
Pump up balls
Put drinks on ice
Ensure teams are even
EFT Details for payment
Invoices will be issues by the club to your email address. Check the BSB & Account numbers are the same as those below and pay your $55 fee before the first match if you can. If not, that’s fine, just let us know when you might be able to pay it.
Name: Pulteney OSSC
BSB: 325-185
Acc: 03960123
Please add the Invoice number (eg INV-XXXX) to the EFT reference field so we know who has paid.
Casual or fill in players will pay $8 per match. Priority will be given to fully registered players.
Attire
Wear your full kit, boots, shin-pads, navy blue socks and shorts. New players: if you don’t have navy socks and shorts, you don’t need to go out and buy them. Any dark coloured apparel will be fine. The main thing is you wear a top that matches your team’s jersey colour.
New players can either wear a top of their team colour, or hire a jersey from the club. Pay an extra $50 bond with your fee ($105 total) and email the Club Treasurer your EFT details. When you return your kit we will refund your $50 bond.
Teams will be fixed but we may need to move players around to keep numbers even.
New players are welcome and may be added to each team alternately, or inserted to keep numbers even. Due to numbers being quite high, players who have already registered and paid will be given priority.
TEAM ADMINISTRATION
To help with catering drinks, setting up appropriate pitch sizes and help the team captains plan their teams, we need to know how many players we have attending each match. This year we are going to use WhatsApp polls.
Step 1
If you don’t already have it, download WhatsApp and install in on your phone: https://www.whatsapp.com/
Step 2
Join the correct group:
Blue Crabs :
Orange Crabs :
White Crabs :
Green Crabs :
Step 3
Please check for the poll every Tues/Wednesday and mark it with your attendance for each week’s match.
Fixtures
The fixtures may vary from week-to-week to adapt to team numbers, but we will always update the future fixtures to ensure the number of matches each team plays against all others is equal. This is the plan to start with:
